I drew this today while I was rebuilding my computer because I was really bored. I wanted to try using a grid sometime, so I decided to try it. I'm really happy with the way that worked out...everything went much smoother. I used a HB mechanical pencil for the hair and details in the eyes, and I also really liked how that worked out. I haven't really tried it before, but I think I'll use that from now on. Or however long the lead in the pencil lasts. Um..I used 2H to HB pencils, and 5B for the dark spots. I'm going to guess I spent around 9 hours on this over the 12 hours I've been working on my comp today. And the things on her eyes are sequins. I don't get it either, but that's what they are.

Eep. I hate to use this old cliche, I can usually think of pretty constructive comments, but when I saw this picture it was getting-hit-by-a-bus-breathtaking. Great job! Pencil art is da shiz. ;)

Beautiful work. The movement of the hair is very natural.
At first I thought it was a photo that had been manipulated with a filter and had it's contrasr changed.
I was blown away when I realised it was a drawing

Gorgeous! The hair....the eyes...the, well, everything!

People usually mess up the hair, and even though you had difficult curves to work with, it's some of the most realistic work I've seen on here.

well... what can you expect me to say to a piece of work like that! It's... wait for it... brilliant! As usual you've done a great job, especially with the hair (if only i had patience like yours to spend time on my work and make it worth while with maximum detail). Everything about it is accurate from what I can see. Love the eyes :thumbsup: :)
